Every rock has a story, and taken in totality, that story is the history of the Earth. That in and of itself is reason enought for us to learn more about rocks and rock formations. But what makes it even more interesting, particularly from a photography or art point of view, is that rocks are beautiful! Living museums of history and art -- that is what I think of when exploring new locales, studying rocks and their formations. From the oldest in the world, to the newest, rocks coddle our asesthetics and coax curiousity. Without question, rocks rock!
