CITIZENS

There are so many of us, yet we are each unique. I like to photograph people who are living in a place and manner different from mine. In doing so, my perspective is broadened, making me a better global citizen as I learn respect for different ways of living and believing. I always hope I reciprocate; that the people I photograph may take something from me that they in turn can use in their lives. At a time when intolerance is on the rise in many places, my wish for these images is to create interest among others to learn about, respect and celebrate cultural diversity. At the end of the day, we have more in common with each other than the differences that sometimes divide us.
