Our cultures, and in turn, we as humans are expressed in an array of ceremonies, customs and behaviors that are rooted in our pasts. Those that are religious or spiritual in nature are the most obvious and perhaps prevalent. Equally revealing, though, are the traditions, superstitions and games each culture embraces as part of its identity. Understanding and respecting such rituals and beliefs hold the key to building cultural bridges and socio-political tolerance, thereby creating a better future for all.
